Course Description

Fact: Many firms don’t even consider doing tax planning during the busy season. After all, why should firms begin tax planning when they already have a mountain of 1040s and business returns on their plate? The answer is that tax season is actually the best time to begin tax planning—and we want to show you exactly why. 2021 is going to be a monumental tax year with many changes likely to come, and adding tax planning right now will actually save you time and energy, making this your most important tax season ever.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify how to efficiently get clients to answer the right questions during tax preparation season so that you can have tax planning 80% done for 90% of your clients by April 15th

  • Review how to upgrade clients to pay 5-7x what they are used to paying for preparation into quarterly recurring packages, and how that process takes place all throughout tax season

  • Demonstrate how tax planning is more vital than ever in 2021 because of the potential tax rate increases coming with the new Biden administration, plus the new COVID-relief bill
