Course Description

Following up on his highly successful May webinar, Advising Healthcare and Other Business Clients in the Coronavirus Era, Mark again tackles the data and statistics from leading medical journals and news sources to bring CPAacademy participants the latest COVID-19 news in the closest thing to “plain-english.”

The single most important factor confronting the economy now and for the foreseeable future is the COVID-19 Pandemic. CPAs and other professionals, whether advising clients or their own organizations, need unbiased insight into what actually occurred, the current status, and how scientists are developing treatments and a vaccine - there will be no "business as usual" without it.

Program Overview:

  • Where we are

  • Why we are here

  • Nursing Home Deaths

  • Masks

  • Droplets and Aerosols

  • Post-infection Complications

  • Impact on Children

  • Death Rates by Age Group

  • Testing

  • Testing Herd Immunity

  • Vaccine Progress

  • Treatment Progress

  • Conclusion

As in Mark’s earlier programs on COVID, the intent is to take a complex area of science that most of us are not trained in, and convert it into “plain English” so that listeners have a better understanding of actual events and can incorporate that into their daily decision-making – whether for advising clients, planning their own futures, or simply going to the supermarket.  Mark wraps up with some prognostications about the lasting impact of the Pandemic on how we do business.

A few of the comments on Mark’s May webinar:

  • The best webinar that I have ever attended - lots of statistics on our current situation from many new perspectives!

  • Mark was amazing, knowledgeable, and engaging. Best 2 hours I've spent so far in quarantine!

  • I like that he cited sources and documented them so could read for myself and make my own decisions.

  • Non-political and data based.
